Now for a little more about Gary Vaynerchuk. Gary is one of those guys who can light up a room — screaming and pounding his fists as he talks his way through keynote speeches and special engagements around the globe. Gary emphasizes the strongest work ethic, eliminating TV at night, staying up later, hustling and in general making sure to “Crush it!” which appropriately is the name of his latest book. Every time I see Gary he makes me feel like we have been friends forever, and yet we barely know each other; he has that kind of positive effect on a lot of people.
Gary and his family relocated thanks to HIAS from the former USSR to New York in 1978, when he was a child. They have since built the family business, Wine Library, in Springfield, NJ to a multi-million dollar a year company. If you are ever passing through or near Springfield, try and stop by the shop, which is by far the most impressive of its kind I have ever seen.
