Award Winning Israeli Director Dan Katzir Releases New Movie Trailer
Award winning independent director Dan Katzir has released a trailer for his new movie, Yiddish Theater: A Lover Story. The film had its theatrical release in LA, NYC and Tel Aviv, Israel at the end of 2007, and had a special showing at Laemmle’s Monica and Town Center Encino in early January 2008.
The film is self-distributed and opened #4 in the Daily Variety charts for highest grossing film in an exclusive engagement in LA. The film had a non-existent marketing budget, but thanks to an online viral campaign using MySpace and Facebook, Yiddish has brought out a wonderful audience at the screenings.
The film is about to open theatrically in other major cities across the country and has received wonderful reviews from some of the top critics in the country.
