Broader Judaism in Preparation for Martin Luther King Day
Last night, in Chevy Chase, MD, there was an event in honor of Martin Luther King Day co-sponsored by the NAACP and the JCRC. Y-Love, the African American Jewish Rapper, talked about his life and his experiences and then laid down his music to a receptive crowd. It’s nice to see our two communities come together every year and on some other occasions because of the the Civil Rights movement and our reflection back to a time where we marched together. Y-Love is interweaving his influences and is creating his own path and musical legacy.

I actually went to Yeshiva with this guy. Love him, he is sincere in everything he does and had a pretty good message for people.

This guy is amazing. Of all the “Jewish rappers” out there Y Love is the only one with actual talent. (this does not include Matisyahu as Reggae is not rap)
