Traveling Geeks - SF Bay Area Bloggers Travel the World, Starting With Israel

Scoble in IsraelI have found myself following the likes of a few SF Bloggers who are now in Israel. There for the The Marker Com.vention, “famous” bloggers have banded together to post about their experience. I am impressed with their camaraderie and really love the aggregator, TravelingGeeks, which they have put together for easy follow-ability. Titled “Traveling Geeks - SF Bay Area bloggers travel the world, starting with Israel, ” the site has a Flickr feed and combines the posts of all the bloggers involved with this trip.

In addition, reading the Twitter feed of Robert Scoble, tech columnist and producer at FastCompany.tv, I get a real warm and tingly feeling thinking of Israel as he tweets his way across the country.

Kudos to Israel for promoting themselves in a positive viral way. I am sure that the bloggers are in no way in “Israel’s pocket,” but having experienced its beauty and modern sophistication in light of the tech conference, all can see their positive posts, fun pictures and plain excitement.

Several Israeli bloggers have been writing about the conference and the “Honored Guests” from abroad who are making an appearance. Blonde2.0 talks about both the convention and the SF bloggers and seems to be meeting them again at a party tonight in Tel Aviv (see Scoble’s tweets).

Although Jewneric wasn’t able to attend this year’s Com.vention, we hope to make the trip in years to come.
